How Consignment Works

The consignment process  is very simple. All items brought in for consignment must be approved by Emma's Attic Home Decor Consignment & Gifts, LLC and must meet certain requirements: Each piece should be in good condition, of good quality n the store.  If you are a smoker and/or pet owner, some items may require professional cleaning prior to placement in the store. Items we do not accept include clothing, bed sheets, appliances, towels, electronics, toys, some dishes, and mattresses. If you are uncertain, please  call.

Your Items

Small Items: Please carry in your smaller items. We recommend that you call first and set up a time frame in which you will be stopping by. We will go through your small items with you to determine suitability for marketing at Emma's Attic Home Decor Consignment & Gifts, LLC.   Once an item is accepted for consignment, we will ask you sign a Consignment Contract and get the item into our inventory and ready to sell.

Large Items: There a few options for introducing your large items. We recommend you contact us and then e-mail photos of each item.


The Consignment Process

• Consignment Contract to be signed by Consignor and Emma's Attic Home Decor Consignment & Gifts, LLC.
• The Consignor agrees to leave merchandise on display for 60 days.
• Emma's Attic Home Decor Consignment & Gifts, LLC will take care of the marketing of each item  during the consignment period.
• If an item has not been sold within the first 30 days, the price is reduced by 25%.
• If an item has not been sold within the first 60 days, the priced will be reduced by 50%
• After the final mark down period expires, and in the event the items have not been sold, then the Consignor will have 5 days to pick up the items.
• After the 5 day pick up period is over, and provided that the Consignor has not removed the item, that property becomes property of Emma's Attic Home Decor Consignment & Gifts, LLC.
• Consignors will receive 50% of the actual sales price.
• All consignor checks are ready to be picked up on the 10th of each month and mailed after the 15th day if not picked up.  It is the responsibility of the Consignor to make sure that we have current addresses on file for payments to be received promptly.
